We're pleased to have several well-known teachers participating -- Donna Lynn Thomas, Dawn Heese, Jenifer Dick, Candy Hargrove, Becky Cogan and Robbi Triplett, as well as some of our talented local teachers.
Donna is a quiltmaker, author and teacher whose latest book for That Patchwork Place is Quiltmaking Essentials 1. She will be teaching two of her newest quilt designs and demonstrating her On-Point Ruler by Omnigrid.
Dawn Heese is a quiltmaker, author and teacher and is currently working on designs for Fall Quilt Market. Her pattern line is Linen Closet Designs. One of her classes for The Gathering is "Cider Barn", featured in the current issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects.
Jenifer Dick is a leader in the Modern Quilt movement. Her newest book is The Modern Applique Workbook and her class project is "Baskets" from that book.
Candy Hargrove is the designer of free-to-use quilts for Jo Morton fabrics by Andover. She also loves to do hand work, and her class will be showing you how to use Cindy Blackberg's stamps for marking cutting and sewing lines.
Becky Cogan is an accomplished quilter who designs for Need'l Love Company. Her class for "Tumbling Blocks" shows you how to use a jelly roll for this timeless quilt design.
Robbi Triplett is the owner of Bittersweet Quilts in Joplin, Missouri. Her passion is working with wool and she will have several classes to help you learn all about wool. One of them is "Star Flower Penny Rug".Click Here.
On Thursday evening, August 7, Donna Lynn Thomas will be presenting a trunk show will a variety of quilts, including those in her book On-Point Patchwork.
On Friday evening, August 8, Dawn Heese will be showing many quilts of her own design, including some from her latest book, Inspired. Her vintage style will "inspire" many to recreate her designs!
In addition to classes and these trunk shows, the shop will be offering chances to "make and take" projects, and free demonstrations are scheduled at the church location.
